When the sun goes down

The climax of happiness will eventually take a dive.

Green a.live

Grievance will somehow turn into kindness.

Peace loving people

In between leisure and hard work, no matter who, regardless of their views, everyone sweats the same way!

The whole world starts to shine

As if it is overflowing with smiles.

Fly to the sky

Spread out your arms and feel the wind.

January 2012

2 FEBRUARY 2012

January passed quickly, hasn't it? It also had been eventful, like the Lunar New Year is just three weeks after the New Year lol!

Meeting up with Puiting and Munchong plus a one-man karaoke session?!
It has been over a year since our last outing. Apparently we were to meet up at about 6pm+ at Redbox Lowyat. I arrived there before 6pm because I didn't want to miss the student price offer teehee. So I went into the k-room alone while waiting for them both to arrive. I waited...and waited..until it was past 7.30pm. I ended up being alone in the room for more than two hours. It was embarrassing, especially when the staff came in to take orders. Embarrassment. But we were considered lucky that evening. The staff mistaken that them both were here for the dinner buffet package, and so we kinda like ate some food but paid a different price. I only realized it the next day lol x)

After that, Puiting suggested to eat (again!) at Jalan Alor. They've never been at there before and it's been years since I've eaten at that area so we randomly chose the most convincing alfresco hawker-like restaurant which has the most diners there ahehe. We ordered typical street food and chatted. We gotta plan another outing again next time!

Sukkhuan's 20th early birthday celebration
Keiyan, John, Gaaya and I celebrated Suk's birthday a few days earlier. May she'll have a good year ahead~ We also celebrated their friend Hong Hong's 21st birthday since it falls on the same month too. Basically we celebrated it at Redbox Lowyat. That's my second time of the week :D I don't mind as we all love screaming singing x)

Both Gaaya and I presented Suk a rainbow-ish caterpillar~ Hope you'll like it, Suk!

And we managed to sing Melodi and Kenangan Terindah! These two songs bring back so many memories~
Here's Lucky #2 : It also happened at Redbox. So on that day everyone minutes before 5pm and Gaaya and I decided to stay a little longer. And our session was supposed to end at 5pm. However, we were still able to choose songs even it's after 5pm~ Of course we continued lol! In the end we sang for another 30 minutes :P. And they still haven't stop the songs yet.. was it a technical problem? Hehe.

Happy Dragon Year 2012
As usual, my family and I went back to our hometowns, had our reunion dinners and celebrated the new year together.

I managed to meet up with some of my friends I from Victoria Institution. We visited a few houses from Cheras to Sri Petaling, including Mr. Tham's house! Initially we plan to treat Mr. Tham for lunch, but Mrs. Tham made us spaghetti and fruit cocktail~ after eating a little, we still invited him to the restaurant as planned, and of course we had  Yee Sang :D It's nice to have Lou Sang on the actual day, which is the Human Day .

It was Yeeling's 20th birthday too~

The Dragon Year

23 JANUARY 2012

恭喜發財!! 祝大家開心樂龍龍! 身體健康和心想事成!

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!

January 5, 2012

A new look?

First of all, happy belated new year everyone!

2012 is a new beginning for me. A year that determines the path I'll be taking.

Sounds important ne..? It is!
But all I can do for now is just wait.

And now about the new skin. I never intend to change it, but the other day it so happened that my itchy hands messed up the html codes of the previous one. So there's no choice but for me to change the whole thing! :D However this may be just a temporary one... though my 'temporary' usually means a year or so x)

Have a great year ahead!

December 31, 2011

June 2011 - December 2011

31 DECEMBER 2011

Since it's the last day of year 2011, I suppose I should wrap up events that occurred in 2011 and welcome 2012~!

JUNE 2011

I've shifted!
After spending almost two decades of my life in Ampang, my family and I moved to a new neighbourhood, which is.. also in Ampang. Hahah~ Probably we're used to stay around this area already. I really miss the dear little apartment though.. Thank you for keeping my family safe and warm for the past 20 years

Offerings for the moving-in ritual

My niece and nephews were amused when they saw my neighbour's cats~

Sports Day at St. John's
This was really the last Sports Day that I'll have in the secondary level.

The Sports Day in SJI is a little different from SBU though. The most significant one is probably the performance. Previously when I was in SBU, the main performance is cheer leading, while SJI's one is the brass band performance. I'm happy to be able to experience both :D

It's also the most fruitful Sports Day in my secondary life. I actually won medals. Ahaha. Even my family and friends were surprised about the fact. Of course I was elated, but I can't help feeling surprised too. Probably it's because all this while sports isn't really my thing. Teehee.

And I'm proud that my house, D' Joseph actually won first place in the Lintas Hormat catergory. We actually only started learning the choreography a day before the actual event. This is all thanks to Prabu, our junior cum choreographer. The dance routine was a combination of Malay, Chinese and Indian traditional dances. Indian dance is not easy to learn at all. xD
Team D' Joseph!

Great job, everyone! :D

Women's 4x100m Relay - Bronze medal
Women's 100m              - Silver medal
Lintas Hormat               - Gold trophy

Bronze, silver and gold. :)

SJI's Sixth Form Council Bowling Tournament at Wangsa Walk, Wangsa Maju, KL

It was a nice bowling trip! Although my bowling skills is the worst among all, the atmosphere was good when everyone cheered for their respective classes; since this is more like an inter-class friendly match.

The resource students came for it too!

Representatives from Sc1 and Sc4

After that we went for a karaoke session. There's only one word to describe the scene: Crazy.
It's another craziee-oke! after all LOL.

JULY 2011

1Student 1Sport 1Malaysia Run
Basically this is based on the 1Student 1Sport policy, whereby students, teachers, principals and parents all   run simultaneously at various locations in the country. This big run created "The Largest Participation Of School Students In A Run" record in the Malaysia Book of Records, with a total of 4.1 million students from 9980 schools nationwide.

Our principal, Mr. Lim Hean Hwa join in the lay as well!

Keiyan's 19th
Celebrated Keiyan's birthday at TGI Friday's Midvalley Megamall. It's a great chance for all of us to catch up on each other, since I haven't met some of them for more than a year already!

The climax of the day was during the Birthday Song part. The birthday girl was requested to stand on the chair by the TGI staff as usual, and after we sang the song, one of the staffs smeared cream on Keiyan's face! All of us can't help but laugh :D

Gaaya's Farewell
Gaaya's left for Indonesia to further her studies. Come back soon Gaay!

Rat Dissection
Sorry rats. But this is included in our syllabus. May all of you rest in peace. At least the rats were not killed by us. We only dissected them, that's all. :)

Oh and by the way, rats smells like chicken.

Kawat Seni Competition
Yenyi and I were the MCs! Had a great experience from it. And though we aimed for the gold medals, we're still happy that we came in as the second runner up. Wonderful job done there, Fencing club!! :D

Fencing may look boring to some, but the formations can be interesting to watch!~

The last minute training session

During the routine

AUGUST 2011

National Day Celebration
Every year in SJI, the prefects, monitors and chairmen are required to carry national and state flags to kick start the Merdeka month.

Bubur Lambuk!
There's one thing about SJI - This school celebrates almost every festival. Which is a good thing, because I actually got the chance to taste bubur lambuk for the first time. This time the teachers took turns in preparing the bubur lambuk from scratch in conjunction with the fasting month. There was a temporary canopy built to serve as the "kitchen", and it's right in front of the Form 6 block. The smell of it was most tempting! As expected, the bubur lambuk tastes good!

Orientation Ball Night a.k.a. A Midsummer Night's Dream 2011
Shh. This is known as the not-so-obvious-but-obviously-it's-obvious night that the upper 6 and lower 6 students "gathering". A Midsummer Night's Dream, that is. Due to some complications that had occurred, we had to make this as low profile as possible.

A wonderful night we had in Prince Hotel, KL, and the food and venue wins it all. (though many of us agreed that 2010 was better x). Nevertheless, you've tried your best, juniors! :)

 SEPTEMBER 2011

Mid-Autumn Festival
We suddenly had an urge to celebrate the festival this year. Maybe it's because we just moved in LOL. So, mummy brought out the paper lanterns we had, lit it, and hung it around the car porch~

Wet Lab Training Program
Organised by the Malaysian Genomic Resource Centre, this program allows students to get a hands-on experience to conduct DNA-related experiments. It was a great experience, since we get to understand more about the procedures of the DNA fingerprinting.

OCTOBER 2011

Jooee's surprise birthday celebration
Seeing that everyone's gonna be busy soon, we plan to celebrate Jooee's birthday a month ahead. Ahehe.
And it turns out that Keiyan actually surprised both Joo and I by celebrating both of our birthdays. Hahaha thanks a lot~!

Class magazine layout
It's my first time making an actual layout. I was really not good when it comes to the settings and all. After the trials and errors, finally I had it done :)

NOVEMBER 2011
November. We managed to snap photos before the 'war' arrives.

DECEMBER 2011

It's December at last! Phew. After the exams, I've been going out and cooking a lot lately. Things will tone down next year, I suppose.

Have a fun countdown tonight everyone! And happy 2012~!

Gawd, 2011 had been a really really busy year.

November 8, 2011

I am 19!

8 NOVEMBER 2011

I've turned 19 today~!

Thank you everyone for the wishes!

It was wonderful.

Thank you for wishing me at 12 midnight sharp and the bracelet with a beautiful message behind it. Thank you for everything daddy, mummy and gorgor ❤❤❤

Thank you to all my current fellow classmates too. I was really surprised to see 10 char siew paos and the Brandy t-shirt in class today. It's memorable and cute :3
So, why 10 char siew paos and a Brandy t-shirt?

  1. 10 char siew paos - Char siew pao is the most universal pao right? Ahehe. Its true~ But fish, poultry and mutton is good too ne~? A 'fish pao' seems...fishy though. LOL! And thanks Weilin for eating pork today because of me!!
  2. Brandy t-shirt - Mainly it's because I talked about Brandy waaaay too much in school. Hehe. It's also because 10(包) + 狗 = 19 (when it's pronounced in Cantonese). Funny and thoughtful at the same time x)

Sc4 is always unique in our own way :D
Hopefully we are able celebrate each other's birthday too in the future

Not forgetting the somewhat surprise that was supposed to surprise Jooee to pre-celebrate her birthday surprised me as well. Hahha. Thank you Keiyan, Zuikhai, Jordan and Joo too!

Byebye 18. Hello Club 19 :)

STPM will be starting on 21st November. May everything will be fine.

June 5, 2011

November 2010 - May 2011

5 JUNE 2011

NOVEMBER 2010 - 18

I'm officially 18 already! Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes!
Also, many thanks to my parents for a wonderful treat. Ahehe.

DECEMBER 2010 - Joy to the World

Ecology Attack!
That's for our ecology project that every Form 6 Biology student has to do. Had great fun, but it was time consuming..
Our quadrat!

The 'map' for the quadrat sampling.

We caught waaaaay too many of these...

Getting the soil for the soil sampling experiment.

Our secret base. LOL!

PuiTing's Back!
It more difficult to see her nowadays, so when she's back from Aussie, Munchong and I definitely wanna have an outing with her~!

The three of us.

Basically it was the very first outing we had. All this while we only meet at tuition and it's awesome for our friendship to last this long. Tsk tsk. (;

Another Craziee-oke?!

I got to meet up with Gaaya, Jooee and Jordan on 31st December. After a light lunch in Vevo in Berjaya Times Square (plus some gossips updates about each other), we headed straight to Lowyat Plaza's RedBox as usual.

All in all, it's nice meeting them again! It would be better still if more are to join in the fun :)

JANUARY 2011 - School Reopens
^ The heading says it all.

SJI Chinese New Year Celebration
It was my first...yet the last time to actually celebrate CNY at school level. It was pretty amazing and amusing! I have never seen a lion dance performance in school ever before but it seems that SJI kinda like celebrate it with lion dance performances every year.

And I too was involved in a choir performance. Wasn't that great, but all of us on stage had fun tho x)
By the way we sang an English version of a CNY song. I forgot what the original title was LOL.

This was the song:

Happiness all around~

Try spotting me. Haha.

FEBRUARY 2011 - CNY Mood; Class Decoration

Before the CNY holidays, everyone were fired up and decorated their classes with red packets, red lanterns, etc.. There was an extreme CNY mood in SJI. And since my class is an all girls' class, U6Sc4 was seriously well-decorated! Many thanks to Winnie for the creative ideas and everyone that helped. :)

See how beautiful the lanterns are?~
From left: Yenyi, Weilin, Winnie, Karling, Chengyee

Winnie's caligraphy

Ahh Yenyen was MIA....

We even "slaughtered" cut the mini "Roasted Piglet";
a symbolic moment which signifies the best of luck for us :)
(That pig was actually a Chinese cookie ahehe)

We have a Birthday Corner too!

MARCH 2011 - Dad's 60th!

Happy birthday to my dearest daddy!
Wishing him to be well and happy always, and most importantly, to be healthy always.

Tsunami Strikes
Nobody wouldn't not know about it, the 9.0 mega earthquake and tsunami which struck the Tohoku region of Japan. Frankly speaking, it was really heart-wrenching to watch the news broadcasting the chaos and the inevitable power of the nature. Not forgetting the radiation from the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant which adds salt onto the injury. And of course I'm worried about the people there too; my relative who lives in Chiba and the artists that I liked. Luckily they were all safe, but condolence to those who had lost their loved ones..

May Japan recover as soon as possible! Ganbare Nippon!~

APRIL 2011 - Let's sweat!

Cross Country
A great achievement I had in my final year as a school student.

I managed to be in the Top 20 list!! And...I was #20!!! (..hey, that's my first time getting ranking okay?! ahehe xD) So I was happy and surprised~

Sc1 x Sc4 Yay!

Eagirls' Mini Games
Many games were held simultaneously. It was short but fun :D

 Jigsaw puzzle~

 Scrabble!

Congkak

There's even DIY bowling!

A colourful class photo~

May 2011 - Mummy's 49th!

To my mummy dearest, happy birthday!
Like daddy, I too wish you to have the best health and be well and happy always.
Stay young and pretty too!

Teachers' Day
Our dearest one, our lovely one;
We promise we'll do our best in the days to come.

Winnie, the talented one wrote a song almost spontaneously to present it to our teachers.

It's a beautiful song with a smooth melody, with meaningful and touching lyrics. Simply great.

And that day was like Children's Day (even though none of us are below 12 18 anymore x) ). All of us enjoyed the day well; in spite of being busy for nearly the entire morning.

Practicing..

The actual performance

We played musical chairs :)

Sc4!

And we had class party! (uhm..more like an inter-class party lol!)

After that, I went to SPCA with some of the Buddhist Society's members. It was quite sad to see how traumatized the adult dogs are...whereas the innocent little pups were really hyper! They were just soooo cute. :3

I suppose that's what I've been up to so far, and the holidays are coming to an end already. Gotta work hard for these few months...!!!

By the way happy early birthday to my brother!! All the best for everything and please enjoy your final year to the max~
